Dr. Michael Roberts has worked as an occupational therapist for nearly 30 years in a variety of adult physical dysfunction and community-based practice areas. He has worked in large hospitals like Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and New England Sinai Hospital, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, and home health care in the Boston area, where he is still currently practicing.
His areas of specialty include oncology rehabilitation and fieldwork education research. He served as the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator at Tufts University before founding the MSOT program at Regis College in 2016. He has also taught at the University of New England’s OT program as a clinical faculty member. He has published chapters in several OT textbooks, been published in the American and Canadian Journals of Occupational Therapy, and presented multiple times at state and national OT conferences. In addition to his OT work, he has appeared as a background actor in TV and film, performed Shakespeare outdoors near Boston, volunteered at the local animal shelter and with the Dedham Historical Society and Museum. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with his family, including his two rescue dogs, Ricky and Riley.
