It enables you to advance your career and assume roles you might never have considered like nurse leader, change agent, school nurse, occupational health nurse, or certification in a specialty like critical care, or cardiology. To pursue this goal, Regis’ RN-to-BS degree will offer greater flexibility, with online or part-time study options, allowing you to balance your education with your work and personal life.

Pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in nursing comes with numerous benefits, including improved patient outcomes, more job opportunities, better chances for career advancement, and higher pay. Given the requirements in the healthcare industry, it is crucial to consider continuing education in nursing. Employers increasingly prefer or require nurses with a BS degree due to the more comprehensive skill set and critical thinking abilities it develops. This provides an incentive for nurses to consider furthering their professional development to meet their career goals.
Not only does this program help you further and develop your critical thinking and evidence-based practice skills, it also is what hospitals and collegiate programs will look for should you plan to continue on with your master’s or doctorate. I have attended a number of universities throughout my journey, but none of them have really helped me to succeed the way Regis has. I am constantly blown away by the support that continues to be offered to me here. The relationships with my professors that I have cultivated is by far the most valuable piece of my program. I can tell how passionate they are about their roles as my educator and our overall field. It’s inspiring to me as someone who is also interested in becoming a nursing educator one day.Molly Greenwood, DNP ’23
