Program Mission

The Inclusive Recreation Minor at Regis College provides students with the opportunity to learn how community services can be designed to meet the recreation needs of all persons regardless of physical or intellectual disability, mental health condition, vision or hearing impairment/loss, or neurodiversity. Positioned on the strength-based concepts of recreation and play in the field of recreational therapy, this minor seeks to empower students outside the therapeutic recreation major to consider, discuss, and analyze the importance of inclusivity in a recreation setting. Students will also gain skills in ways to plan, implement or promote recreation activities.
