Following news that potentially thousands of federal employees' positions will be terminated, Regis College is extending an existing partnership with the federal government to provide displaced federal employees and their families with tuition discounts. Prior to this announcement, only active federal government employees were eligible. This shift in policy not only extends the benefit to displaced federal employees, but also their immediate family members.

“Regis was founded nearly 100 years ago to expand access to higher education; that priority endures today,” said Regis President Antoinette Hays, PhD, RN. “We have been closely following the developments in Washington and felt that we needed to respond in a meaningful way to provide support for displaced federal employees. We are hopeful that the extension of our partnership with the federal government to include displaced employees and their dependents provides these impacted families with a way to provide their immediate family members an affordable pathway to a college degree or to learn a new skill as they search for employment.”

The university’s industry-active faculty, cutting-edge curriculum, and focus on skill development will help individuals bring their career to the next level. All current and displaced federal employees, their child or spouse, are eligible for the following benefits if accepted into a Regis program:

  • Preferred tuition reduction of 15% discount on fully online programs
  • Preferred 20% discount on Massachusetts campus-based programs
  • Preferred 10% discount on eligible bachelor's completion programs
  • Preferred 25% discount for regional, on-site cohorts consisting of 10 or more employees provided at the employer site
  • Application fees waived
  • Graduate Record Exam (GRE) waived (some exclusions apply)
  • Military-friendly scholarships, if eligible

Regis has partnerships with more than 100 businesses and organizations to provide their employees with a pathway to earn a degree or to learn new skills through its certificate programs. There is no cost for organizations to set up a partnership, only the willingness to encourage employees to pursue their educational goals.
