Regis College has been designated a Silver status Military Friendly institution for 2025-2026 in recognition of its dedication to serving the military and Veteran community. The college was also recognized as a Military Spouse-Friendly institution for the first time. In particular, Regis was recognized for supporting and creating meaningful education paths for Veterans, service members and their families. 

The Military Spouse Friendly Schools, assesses how universities support Veteran and military spouses throughout their college journey. This recognition showcases companies across the country that are committed to creating meaningful, sustainable career opportunities for military spouses.

The university’s Center for Veteran and Military Family Services is staffed by Nick Lanier, director of Veteran’s services, a Veteran who knows first-hand their unique needs and their families as they begin the college application process through to graduation. At Regis, Veterans are supported in their transition to civilian life and are provided with support services such as tutoring, advising and engaging with other student-Veterans. 

"The Regis College community is committed to helping our Veteran and servicemember students attain their reach their academic and professional goals, while providing opportunities to them to contribute their valuable experiences to our community,” said Lanier. “Through the extensive services available, the college is committed to the mission of supporting out student-Veterans from the application process to commencement.”

Regis admission counselors offer one-on-one guidance to support Veterans seeking to apply their benefits to their education. They also have a dedicated lounge where they may study, enjoy a meal, or spend time with other Veterans enrolled in a Regis program. Regis participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program, which provides to Veterans funds from the Department of Veterans Affairs for their unmet tuition and fees. The university works closely with the Veterans Administration in securing GI Bill®Veteran Readiness and EmploymentDependents' Educational Assistance, and other available resources for active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

The Military Friendly® Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources from more than 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey.
