The Clinical Resource and Simulation Center (CSC) provides opportunities for students to develop the nursing knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to provide safe and effective care to patients in real-life, clinical settings. The curriculum of the CSC parallels and supports the student learning outcomes of each clinical nursing course.
Using high-fidelity manikins, students gain exposure to and experience with childbirth, pediatric care, and complex care patients in a safe, supportive learning environment.
The CSC provides faculty, equipment, and opportunities for students to work individually and in small groups to meet their unique learning needs. The simulation center consists of five labs that simulate current healthcare environments. The CSC is open during the day, evenings and weekends to support our students and their busy schedules.
High-fidelity manikins like Grateful Greg, are incredibly life-like and can speak in different languages with our students and present symptoms they may encounter in the diverse clinical environment. From newborn care to end-of-life care, the CSC provides excellent, realistic simulation scenarios to best prepare the Regis nursing student for a successful transition into professional practice as a registered nurse.
