The program tuition includes two courses (six college credits), all related course materials, Student Success Workshop, housing, meals, and programming.

  • Is transportation to the Regis campus included?

Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from campus for check-in and check-out. However, transportation for all off-campus activities during the program is included and will be provided.

  • Will I have homework outside of class?

Yes, accelerated programs like the Summer Scholars Pre-College Program are rigorous and designed to give students a taste of college academics. Students should expect both individual and group work outside of class hours. Study time is included in the schedule.

  • What should I bring with me to live on campus?

We encourage you to bring items that will make you feel at home! For essentials, you’ll need to provide your own XL long twin sheets, pillows, blankets, towels, and toiletries. Feel free to bring personal items like photographs, electronics, LED lights, personal fans, and even small plants. Students are also welcome to bring nonperishable food, beverages and snacks for their stay. A representative from Residence Life will go over this in more detail during orientation.

  • What can I expect for meals?

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided during the residential portion of the program, and the cost is included in the program fee. Meals will vary and may include dining hall options, grab-and-go totes, and catered events. Allergies and dietary restrictions will be accommodated whenever possible.

Except for peanut butter packets, the main dining hall at Regis College is nut-free.

  • Is there air conditioning in the residence halls?

Yes, regardless of which building you are assigned to, air-conditioned accommodation is provided.

  • May I take my student off-campus while they living at Regis?

We ask all parents and guardians to avoid scheduling doctor appointments, family gatherings, dinners, and other activities during the residential portion of the program. The academic coursework is intensive, and students need this time to study, complete individual and group assignments, and socialize with their peers.

For the safety of everyone on campus, if your student needs to leave, all arrival and departure details must be coordinated with the Program Director in advance.

  • Will there be an Orientation and is it mandatory?

Attending orientation is crucial for preparing you and your student for success in the Summer Scholars program. Topics covered will include classroom expectations, average daily coursework, assignment requirements, and what to bring to campus to make it feel more like home.

Additionally, social programming, required paperwork, and technology requirements for Week 1 will be discussed. A detailed review of the Summer Scholars Online Synchronous Class Schedule and Residential Programming Schedule will also be provided. Orientation will conclude with a real-time Q&A session for students and parents/guardians to address any questions or concerns.

  • Will I get a Regis Email address assigned to me when I am accepted into the Summer Scholars Program?

Yes, you will be assigned a student email and ID number when you enroll in courses. All university emails will be sent to your Regis email address. It’s important to read your Regis College email regularly, as this is the primary way the university, your professors, and staff will communicate information about your registration, classes, and schedule.

  • Does Regis offer a payment plan for the Summer Scholars Program?

There is no formal payment plan. However, if you need additional time to submit payment, please contact summerscholars@regiscollege.edu. Our office will review requests on a case-by-case basis.

  • Is financial aid available?

Unfortunately, federal and institutional policies limit financial assistance to students enrolled in degree programs.

  • Are International Students allowed to apply?

Yes! While we do not sponsor student visas for the Summer Scholars Pre-College Program, we welcome all international students to apply, provided they can be present during the program.

  • Are the courses credit-bearing?

Yes, all passing grades can earn up to 6 credits through the Summer Scholars Program. If you later choose to attend Regis College as an undergraduate student, your courses will automatically be applied to your academic record.

  • Are the credits transferable?

You can apply to transfer credits earned through Summer Scholars. However, each college and university has its own transfer credit policies. To get specific information, contact the Office of Admissions at the institution to which you are interested in transferring the credits.

  • How can I get a copy of my Regis transcript?

You can request your official Regis transcript online through the Office of the Registrar. Please note that it takes about a week to receive a copy, as the transcripts are processed through a third party.

  • My plans changed at the last minute; can I get a refund?

The 50% tuition deposit is non-refundable; refund requests for the final balance will be honored through June 30, 2025. No refunds are possible after July 1, 2025.

Regis College reserves the right to withdraw a student from this program at any time for poor academic performance or behavior-related misconduct. Students dismissed from any session for disciplinary or academic reasons will not be issued a tuition refund.
