Students, including prospective students, should review state licensure requirements for licensure as a registered nurse prior to applying to or enrolling in any of Regis College’s nursing programs. Completion of a Regis College program does not guarantee eligibility for state licensure or receipt of a license.

An indication is provided below regarding whether Regis College’s nursing program meets a state’s licensure requirements, does not meet a state’s licensure requirements, or if Regis College has not yet made a determination whether such program meets a state’s licensure requirements.

  • Evidence-based didactic content and supervised clinical experience in nursing, encompassing the attainment and maintenance of physical and mental health and the prevention of illness for individuals and groups throughout the life cycle and in a variety of acute, nonacute, community-based, and long-term care clinical settings and experiences to include adult medical/surgical nursing, geriatric nursing, maternal/infant (obstetrics, gynecology, neonatal) nursing, mental health/psychiatric nursing, nursing fundamentals, and pediatric nursing;
  • A nursing education program preparing a student for licensure as a registered nurse shall provide a minimum of 500 hours of direct client care supervised by qualified faculty.
