Programs and Options for NECC graduates

Enrolling at Regis College after completing your associate’s degree at NECC is an exciting opportunity to further your academic and professional goals and earn a bachelor’s degree.

  • Seamless Admission to Regis: students who opted in on their NECC application are simultaneously admitted to Regis. Students who meet the NECC graduation requirements are exempt from application fees.
  • Wide Range of Programs: In addition to our broad undergraduate offerings, Regis provides a range of bachelor’s completion and workforce development programs designed for adult learners and/or students with associate’s degree.

    1. Check Your Eligibility: Dual Enrollment NECC/Regis College 
      • Confirm with the NECC Admission Office if you have already opted into the dual enrollment program with Regis College. If you’re on track to complete your associate’s degree and are participating in the dual enrollment program, you can reach out to bachelorcompletionadmission@regiscollege.edu to begin discussions about enrollment at Regis. If you are an existing NECC student looking to transfer before completing your associate’s degree, start here
      • Requirements for dual enrollment eligibility: complete your associate’s degree and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Certain programs have additional prerequisites and higher GPA requirements (see FAQ section below for additional details).
    2. Gather Your Documents: Prepare to Apply
      • Request your official transcripts from NECC and review the list of academic programs at Regis. Prepare any questions about transfer credits, prerequisites, financial aid process, and timing to ask in your meeting with a Regis advisor. We can begin your transfer process with unofficial transcripts and receive the official transcripts at a later date. 
    3. Apply Now
      • Students in the NECC/Regis dual enrollment program need to submit an application and official transcript. There is no application fee and letters of recommendation are waived for students who have opted into this dual enrollment program!
    4. Begin Enrollment Process
      • Registration Timing: you will be able to register for classes simultaneously with all other Regis students – and will not be subject to waiting for a transfer registration window.
      • Orientation Events: Join us at an online or on-campus orientation session to learn about campus resources and meet fellow students. Regis will provide bus transportation for NECC students to join an admission event at our campus in Weston, MA.

  • Credits

    Q: How many credits can I transfer?
    A: Up to 75 credits may be transferred, depending on the program.

    Q: Will my credits from NECC transfer?
    A: Transfer credits are evaluated individually and awarded for courses that are similar in content and depth to those offered at Regis. Every attempt is made to transfer the maximum number of credits earned before a student’s admission. The number of courses that apply to a particular program determines the number of credits and courses that need to be taken at Regis. Typically, all traditional undergraduate transfer students must enroll in 16 Regis courses or 54 Regis credits.

  • Requirements

    Q: Are there minimum GPA requirements?

    A: Yes, NECC graduates participating in the dual enrollment program will be enrolled at Regis if they have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. Certain programs have higher minimum GPA requirements: Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, and Dental Hygiene all require a 3.0 GPA. Please connect directly with the program you are interested in to confirm requirements.

    Q: Are there any prerequisite classes I will need to take?

    A: Certain programs have additional prerequisite requirements. Exercise Science prerequisites include BI 105 Anatomy & Physiology I/Lab, BI 106 Anatomy & Physiology II/Lab, CH 103 Chem. Structure & Reactions I/Lab, Chem Structure & Reactions II/Lab CH 104. Please connect directly with the program you are interested in to confirm specific prerequisite course requirements.

  • Academic Programs

    Q: Am I eligible to transfer my credits into all Regis programs?

    A: All major programs, except the Regis undergraduate Nursing program, are eligible for transfer admission consideration. However, if you are a potential applicant who currently holds an RN license, we encourage you to explore our RN to BSN program

    Q: Can I transfer my credits into one of the nursing programs?

    A: The dual enrollment program does not automatically admit students into the Regis nursing program. However, we encourage students interested in nursing to speak with the program director. Regis offers bachelor’s in nursing, bachelor’s completion, and accelerated nursing programs.

    Q: Are the Bachelor’s Degree Completion programs my only options?

    A: No, you can explore any of the undergraduate programs offered at Regis, but please note that enrollment requirements vary across different programs. We also offer 30+ workforce development certificates through our Division of Professional Studies

    A: Regis offers advising, tutoring, and access to student services to ensure your success. Each NECC student will have the opportunity to meet with a Regis advisor to review completed coursework and identify which program course requirements have been completed.
